Now Serving Families with Personalized, Story-Driven Memory Care

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., April 2, 2026 – Saga Senior Living today announced it is the new operator of Barton House, a 40-unit memory care community located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Thoughtfully designed across two intimate residential buildings, Barton House offers a warm setting for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

“Barton House reflects our commitment to deeply personal, relationship-centered memory care,” said Jeff Fischer, CEO of Saga Senior Living. “Every resident brings a unique life story, and our role is to honor that story while creating meaningful moments each day.”

Designed to feel more like home than a traditional senior living community, Barton House features open, light-filled living spaces and private, enclosed courtyards that encourage safe outdoor access and daily connection to nature. The smaller-scale environment fosters familiarity, comfort, and a sense of belonging which are key elements in supporting those with memory loss.

The community offers private studio apartments, each with its own bathroom, at an all-inclusive monthly rate of $7,450. Residents benefit from a comprehensive approach to care that includes:

  • Personalized, relationship-based care tailored to each resident’s history and preferences
  • Ability-based activities that promote independence, engagement, and purpose
  • Secure indoor and outdoor environments designed for comfort and ease
  • Inviting shared spaces that encourage social interaction
  • 24/7 compassionate support from compassionate caregivers

At Barton House, each day is shaped around the individual. While the community can thoughtfully support certain behavioral expressions of dementia, the community is not designed as a behavior-focused setting. Rather, Barton House prioritizes a calm, home-like environment rooted in connection and daily purpose. Programming is intentionally designed to meet residents where they are, focusing on strengths rather than limitations.
